Wonderful dinner last night at Omakkami. The sushi here is very fresh and the 18 course Omakase was definitely worth the price. Highly recommend this restaurant if you want an authentic experience in Cancun.
As someone from Seattle where Japanese food and sushi is prevalent I was hesitant to visit this restaurant. My concerns of quality and delivery were quickly admonished. Randy absolutely killed it. He delivered quality dish after quality dish. The service was great and he truly cares about delivering the best experience from food to atmosphere. Overall I could not be happier with his demeanor and work. Thank you Randy for the lovely time.
Absolutely amazing restaurant, fantastic food and nice intimate setting, with lovely decorations. Simply fantastic, far better than most sushi I have had in London at the likes of sushi samba. Also reasonably priced!
We had a wonderful experience at Omakkami! We decided to order the 18 course Omakase to get the full experience. The food didn’t disappoint! We loved the variety of local and international seafood. The chefs and host are quite knowledgeable and friendly. We especially enjoyed watching the chef prepare the dishes! We would definitely go back!

We ordered Omakase. The owner was friendly and welcoming. The young chefs cooked right in front of us and we enjoyed the small dishes, nigiri, and miso soup. They also made delicious tea. It made us feel like we were in Japan even though we were in Cancun. We will definitely come back to them. Note: They have a special cheesecake, probably the best in the world. Must try.
We had a fantastic experience at Omakkami, we ordered the 12 course Omakase but decided to upgrade to the 18 piece and did not regret it. The service was very attentive and the hosts knowledge of each course was amazing. The food quality was perfect and overall the best sushi experience we have had anywhere outside of Japan
Very authentic Japanese food. I was a little hesitant to do Omakase in Cancun but so glad I did. We ordered the 11 pieces menu but shortly decided to upgrade to 18 pieces, because the food was fresh and delicious. They serve local ingredients and use real wasabi. Excellent service, nice vibe and amazing food- this place is truly a hidden gem I’d love to revisit next time in Cancun.
